Overlooking Piazza Othoca in Santa Giusta, a small marina hosts the mooring of fishermen's boats.
It is possible to see them returning from the working day, unload the catch and tidy up their equipment.

You can experience the Pauli Maiori lagoon in its productive heart aboard the characteristic flat-bottomed boats used for fishing in the pond: an uncontaminated site included in the list of wetlands of international importance. It is protected by the RAMSAR Convention for its particular botanical environment and the avifauna present.

You can discover the ancestral fishing techniques, observe the characteristic lake vegetation and do some birdwatching from a privileged point of view. You will be in direct contact with the most common species such as the gallinule, flamingos, moorhens, coots and splendid herons.
